Warped palette & brush
This piece is entirely sculpted out of clay/ceramic. It is life size. The piece was painted with acrylic. The palette is painted to look like wood. The idea for this was inspired by the paintings of Salvador Dali's warp-shaped clocks. This piece also moves like a rocking chair which symbolizes the passing of time.
Enlarged wooden can-opener & can of tuna
The can-opener and the tuna is designed/carved from wood. The can itself is made out of manilla cardboard paper and painted with acrylic. I placed an actual empty can of tuna and can-opener just to show the size difference.
Each mechanical peice , including the black handles, were individually carved and painted. Once dry, they were carefully cemented on together. The can opener is not functional.
Oil Painted Guitars
Painted on top of an old guitar surface. I used oil paints instead of acrylic or airbrush. No varnish or primer was added before or after. It's just for looks.
An actual electric guitar was used for the project below. I painted a morticycle engine on the body, and the neck & head of the guitar were painted as the exhaust pipe. Click on the pictures below for a closer look.
